Dr. Barry Rosenbloom
Director
Dr. Barry Rosenbloom received his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from the City University of New York, Hunter College, and his Medical Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor General /UCLA Medical Center, where he subsequently completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Rosenbloom still maintains a Clinical Professorship in Medicine at UCLA.
Over the past two decades, Dr. Barry Rosenbloom has been seeing Gaucher patients as part of his regular hematology/oncology practice. In the late 1980’s, he served as one of a select group of researchers who conducted clinical trials of Ceredase®, the first-generation enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of Gaucher disease. By the early 1990’s, Dr. Rosenbloom was an established thought-leader on Gaucher disease and over the past several years, he has published over 20 scientific, peer-reviewed articles on the subject.
In addition to treating hematology/oncology patients within a thriving private practice, Dr. Rosenbloom serves as the Director of the Comprehensive Gaucher Treatment Center at Tower Hematology Oncology, as well as a U.S. Regional Coordinator for the International Collaborative Gaucher Group.
